MICRO-CONFERENCE FOR INTERPRETERS
Interpreting in the Age of AI
How advanced is automated interpreting? Which technologies are reshaping the interpreter’s toolkit today? What remains uniquely human in our work—and is AI a threat, or an opportunity to expand what’s possible?
Join our micro-conference to explore the future of interpreting together.
In partnership with Artlingua and with the support of the Association of Conference Interpreters (ASKOT) and the Institute of Translation Studies (ÚTRL), we organised a unique event: a micro-conference on Interpreting in the Age of AI.
Automatic interpreting is no longer science fiction. It is here today. But how good is it? Will AI disrupt the market for interpreting services as much as it has transformed translation? And what does the future hold for professional interpreters?
The micro-conference took place in person and online.
Why join us in person?
Test and try alternatives to classical equipment – the event will be interpreted into/ from English by ÚTRL interpreting students and via AI technology powered by Interprefy. Bring your own headphones, connect through a mobile app, and compare human and AI interpreting live on site.
Be part of a vital conversation about the future of interpreting – bringing together seasoned professionals, tech innovators, and the next generation of interpreters.
Explore the latest technologies – from automatic interpreting to CAI (computer-aided interpreting) tools to next-gen alternatives to traditional equipment.
Connect with colleagues – after the main programme, enjoy time for informal networking and experience-sharing in a relaxed setting, complete with light refreshments.
